About "Exoxiko"
I returned 25 years later, married with my kids and a very big question of how we would connect the rooms together.
After a lot of thought and discussions, we decided to proceed with turning the house into two houses, with the plan to rent the upper house.
My husband Vasilis, during Covid period 2021, started renovating the upper part himself and from there it all started… The upper part was completed into a fully renovated house in June 2025 and immediately started to be rented by the day.
The house has life again, it has purpose… to host vacationers and offer wonderful holidays.
“Exoxiko” was built in sections, starting with the room with the “krevati” - from what we can estimate based on the birth dates of our grandmothers around the 1825.
Then it was built, the part below that was used as a cellar and finally the kitchen was built next to the “krevati” around 1930.
“Exoxiko” is a typical example of a traditional Kalymnian house, where to go from one room to another, you go out into a common courtyard with the toilet outside the house
I, Paraskevi, was born in the house in1978 and grew up in it until I was 15 years old. I have wonderful memories growing up here with my three siblings. Then life made us close the house
